Hello! I’m Manuel. This is my personal web page. 

As an  All-Tech Product Strategist & Functional Design Synthesizer, I’m passionate about creating solutions that positively impact people’s lives. Since the beginning of my career in electronic industrial engineering, I’ve had a great interest in learning about programming and the latest emerging technologies. As I gained experience in product development, I incorporated new knowledge in areas such as 3D modeling, mechatronics prototyping, physical sensor deployment with software connection and interpretation, programming for IOT, M2M, web, backend, HW design, mobile apps, assembler, etc… 

Since childhood, my curiosity was the spark that ignited my passion for understanding how things work. I always wondered what was behind each object, how it operated, how it was made. This eagerness led me to explore and seek answers beyond the conventional. Before university, my fascination with the mechanics of combustion engines took shape in my 50cc motorcycle. Without formal training, but with steadfast determination, I dedicated myself to repairing and improving it, experiencing that mix of nervousness and excitement with each new challenge.

This insatiable curiosity naturally led me to industrial engineering, focusing on electronics. There, I could combine knowledge in electricity, electronics, and programming, essential for building HW-SW products from scratch. My time at university was not just about being one of the top academic records; I also ventured into the world of robot design. Through advanced tools like Catia V5, I began to bring my own robots to life, marrying theory and practice in an unparalleled experience.

In my university years, I had the opportunity to delve into the UAH research group. There, I deepened my understanding of algorithms applied to software, using Matlab and then applying these concepts to microcontrollers. My flagship project was the development of a Kalman filter for an autonomous wheelchair, combining odometry and artificial vision for precise indoor navigation.

As I ventured into the professional world, my focus gradually shifted towards creating products with a heavier software component. Here is where I started applying Agile methodologies, immersing myself in software development dynamics and backend structures, moving away from the more traditional electronic programming in C.

The foundation of RingApp with a friend marked a milestone in my career. We developed a mobile application for iOS and Android, a platform that transformed the way users communicate. This project plunged me fully into the management and structuring of products for mobile applications, tackling both development and the required server infrastructure.

In my latest stage, my passion has been focused on the world of cloud and mobile applications. Here, I’ve found a fertile field to apply my knowledge in product management, developing strategies for defining functionalities, conducting A/B testing, and implementing continuous improvements. My ability to understand users from different sectors (business, development, marketing, among others) has allowed me not just to define products but also to create detailed and adaptive documentation for each area involved in their implementation.

Today, my work focuses on keeping the products I develop dynamic and adapted to market trends. I am a bridge between different departments, constantly listening, adapting, and testing to ensure that each product not only meets expectations but also remains at the forefront in an ever-evolving market.

Products defined from the research of ideas

The products developed have been defined as tools for learning new things, both in terms of the nature of the functionality and the technologies needed to implement the product.

Involving all the technologies necessary

The proposed products are based on real feasibility. This implies that depending on the functionalities, the product will need different technologies to be realised with coordinated operation. In these products, 3D designs, creations, HW, SW, cloud, etc… are integrated.

Objective for each product selected

Each product has as a reference target those functionalities that allow developing new ideas or testing in reality theories on how to solve certain needs with a product. These objectives can range from commercial viability to obtaining new ideas that provide the basis for other products.

For the full implementation of the product, it is necessary to touch the different technologies, from the 3D design for the creation of physical objects or artefacts, the electronics of sensors and actuators and the electronic HW needed to make the mechanical elements work and interact, the software of the electronics of the HW, the server programming for data concentration and processing, web frontend creation, etc.

In the projects you will be able to see the interaction between the different technologies to obtain a final product with a complete functionality.

I have created this web page to expose the different personal projects I do.With this I intend to give you an idea of the projects created, in case you find any of them interesting and want to know more, to collaborate, to use it as a base for your projects, etc.

 

The intention of these projects has been for a personal research about the different technologies and structures involved. The projects have different purposes, from making propositions, proofs of concept or products with a design focused on commercial viability.

The mix between my professional profile and my personal curiosity leads to the creation of these projects. There is no general theme, neither in terms of functionality nor in terms of technologies used.
