Manuel Losada Rodríguez

Product Leader location_on Madrid, Spain

Shipping hardware-to-cloud products end to end.

10+ years leading product across cybersecurity, IoT and ocean data — owning the path from the business concept all the way down to the functional implementation: device mechanics and firmware, cloud APIs, web, mobile apps and the user experience. I work where engineering, stakeholders and tenders meet, and I review architecture, not just specs.

Ocean Data Product Lead

Satlink · Madrid

Current role. Shaping a new product area — Ocean Data — on top of Satlink's existing technological base. I lead the work across the relevant verticals (HW, FW, cloud and data), define the roadmap and align engineering, stakeholders and business.

Head of Product

B-FY · Madrid

Owned scope, strategy and roadmap for a biometric IAM and online-payments platform across web and physical access points. Reached 30+ ecommerce clients with the own-branded login and checkout flow; pivoted to a white-label model embedded inside the clients' own apps and closed 3 enterprise deals — most notably ATIO, a Mexican fuel-supply software provider, where we integrated with their IT systems and POS terminals to eliminate fleet fuel-card fraud (deployed in production). Also delivered the Kineox payment-verification integration and 20+ additional ecommerce integrations. Worked with Gartner for category positioning; security stress-tested via HackerOne bug-bounty; PSD2 and GDPR-aligned.

Product Owner · Smart Cities & Secure HW

Gamma Solutions / Biocryptology · Madrid

Built and led the development team from the ground up. Smart-city field devices deployed across 300+ Spanish municipalities under the Red.es smart-cities programme, including an early-adoption PLC-comms layer for street infrastructure. Solar-plant monitoring across 5 utility-scale plants (~15 MW each), designed to be certified as maintenance platform by the asset's investment fund. Earlier: a CDTI-funded NFC label printer. Later, at Biocryptology, defined the SwipeID secure-signature key fob with Foxconn — 200-unit pilot to pharma/military-grade specs — for end-to-end public/private-key authorisation.

How I work

Four things I do consistently

rocket_launch

From business concept to functional implementation

I work the full chain: defining what the product should do for the business, what the system needs to deliver it, and how each layer ships. In most roles I've taken the product from concept; in others I've stepped into an existing line and shaped a new direction on top.

hub

One coherent product across every layer

HW, firmware, backend, apps and security treated as one system — so trade-offs surface early and decisions hold up in production, not just in Jira.

groups

Engineering as a peer, business as a client

I can reason about architecture with each lead from the ground up and steer roadmap with stakeholders, sales and public tenders without losing either side.

shield_lock

Security and privacy as foundations of UX

Built products under PSD2, GDPR and continuous HackerOne pentests where the security runs quietly underneath, instead of getting in the way of the user.

Side Projects

Concept builds, off the clock

Independent prototypes I use to test technologies hands-on before bringing them into production work. Separate from my professional CV.
