Hello, and welcome to my personal website! I’m excited to share with you a project that I’m particularly proud of: my 3D design project for a portable wireless keyboard from Microsoft.

As an avid traveler and digital nomad, I found myself regularly using this keyboard while on the move. It was during these journeys that I noticed something crucial – the keys were taking quite a beating due to the frequent use and the conditions they were exposed to. A solution was needed, and being a passionate problem-solver, I decided to create one myself.

Drawing from my extensive knowledge and experience in 3D design, I conceptualized and designed a comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing protective cover for the keyboard. I aimed to not only protect the keys from damage but also to enhance the overall user experience by making it more ergonomic and tactile.

This not only added a layer of durability to the keyboard but also maintained the essential characteristic of a good keyboard – the feel of the keys. By protecting them from wear and tear, the keys retained their tactile feedback for much longer, thereby extending the lifespan of the keyboard in its most fundamental aspect.

My design process was thorough, paying close attention to every detail. Every contour and curvature was considered to create a product that was truly usable, transforming the user’s interaction with the keyboard and creating a more seamless connection between the digital and physical worlds.

I’m pleased to say that the end result exceeded my expectations. The protective cover not only safeguarded the keys, but it also significantly enhanced the user experience by providing a more tactile and comfortable typing journey. And most importantly, it ensured the longevity of the keyboard’s essential feel, which is so often the first aspect to degrade in well-used devices.

In creating this keyboard cover, I also prioritized adaptability and accessibility in the production process. The design is optimized for at-home 3D printing, allowing users to produce their own covers with ease. Additionally, it’s designed to be compatible with injection molding production, catering to more large-scale, commercial manufacturing.

Having undertaken exhaustive trials and continuous refinements over more than a year, the design has proven itself to be practical, durable, and popular among users. I hold registered designs of this product, which are not only tried and tested but also optimized to their fullest potential.
